Chapter 11

The DeLuca Hospitality board terminated Vesta’s contract.

Not overnight.

An emergency committee first arranged replacement security coordination, residential maintenance, and aviation administration so hundreds of employees and contractors were not stranded because one owner faced allegations.

Then Vesta’s agreement ended.

A competitive procurement replaced it.

Annual projected cost fell by roughly twenty percent even after enhanced security requirements.

Aurelian’s related-party payments went into civil recovery negotiations.

Vivienne’s lawyers disputed the board’s highest overcharge estimates.

They were right to dispute some.

Several services had actually been performed.

Armored transport cost more than ordinary executive cars.

Secure residences required specialized vendors.

The final civil settlement did not treat every Vesta dollar as theft.

Vivienne and Aurelian returned $940,000 to DeLuca Hospitality and paid additional penalties and audit expenses without admitting every allegation.

National Harbor assumed full control of Bianca’s unresolved voting branch pending her thirty-sixth birthday.

No adoption occurred.

No child was transferred.

Gabriel remained Roman and Elena’s son because he always had been.

Then the family court entered permanent findings that the forged parental acknowledgments carried no legal effect.

The adoption agency closed the identified-placement file.

Bianca’s home study remained a historical record but could not be used to pursue any DeLuca child.

Hospital investigators finished their review too.

Owen’s medical group accepted responsibility for weak concierge-access controls.

No evidence showed Owen knew Vivienne would misuse the labels.

He retained his license and continued practicing.

But he stopped serving as the DeLucas’ “discreet family doctor.”

He told Roman:

“I’m either your physician or part of your household machinery. I can’t be both anymore.”

Roman respected that.

The triplets moved to a conventional pediatric practice.

That change bothered Vivienne more than Roman expected.

For decades, the family had solved vulnerability by moving professionals closer.

The investigation taught them the opposite lesson.

Some professionals worked better when they remained outside.
