Chapter 7 - The Boardroom Siege

At precisely ten o'clock in the morning, the executive boardroom on the top floor of Moretti Tower was filled with powerful board members, legal advisors, and major shareholders.
Sitting at the head of the long mahogany table was Julian Moretti. At sixty, Julian was a sharp, silver-haired man wearing a bespoke charcoal suit. He carried an air of arrogant confidence, surrounded by his loyal allies on the board.
"Thank you all for coming on such short notice," Julian announced, resting his hands on the table. "As you know, our CEO, my nephew Nathan, has exhibited deeply erratic behavior over the last twenty-four hours. He has misappropriated corporate medical assets and threatened senior legal counsel. It is my painful duty to propose a motion to strip Nathan of his executive authority."
The room murmured with hushed tension. Several board members nodded in agreement, eager to side with the man they believed held the majority of institutional shares.
"Is that so, Uncle?"
The heavy oak doors of the boardroom slammed open with a deafening bang.
Nathan walked into the room, radiating an absolute, terrifying power. He wore a fresh three-piece navy suit, his dark hair styled back, his gray-blue eyes burning with icy resolve.
Walking right beside him, holding his hand with complete confidence, was seven-year-old Lily. She wore a beautiful tailor-made light blue dress that Nathan had ordered for her that morning, her brown hair tied neatly with a silk ribbon.
The entire boardroom fell dead silent. Board members stared in shock at the billionaire CEO walking into a high-level corporate battle holding the hand of a young girl.
Julian’s face darkened with instant rage. "Nathan! How dare you bring a child into a confidential executive meeting? Have you completely lost your mind?"
Nathan walked down the center of the room, leading Lily directly to the head of the table. He pulled out the executive chair at the right hand of the throne and gently helped Lily sit down.
"This child," Nathan said, his voice echoing through the massive room with absolute clarity, "is Lily Bennett Moretti. She is my daughter, my legal heir, and as of five minutes ago, the majority owner of Moretti Enterprises."
Julian let out a loud, mocking laugh. "You're insane! Your father left forty percent of the voting shares to me upon his death!"
Nathan reached into his jacket pocket, pulled out the certified trust deed from Vault 402, and slammed it onto the mahogany table directly in front of Julian.
"Read it, Julian," Nathan commanded coldly. "My father assigned fifty-one percent of his private voting shares to Sarah Bennett’s bloodline fourteen years ago. You never owned forty percent. You were merely managing proxy stock that expired the moment my daughter turned seven."
Julian stared at the embossed seal on the legal document. The color drained from his face until he was as pale as ash. His hands began to tremble violently as he read Arthur Moretti's signature.

"This... this is a forgery!" Julian shouted, standing up so fast his chair fell backward. "Security! Escort them out!"
"The security team has already been replaced, Julian," Nathan said smoothly, gesturing toward the doorway where two federal agents in dark suits stepped into the room. "And these officers are here for you."
