Chapter 14 - victory of season one

By five o'clock that evening, the Moretti estate was bathed in the warm light of dusk.
Inside the grand dining hall, seven-year-old Maya sat at the head table, laughing as she ate ice cream under the watchful eye of four loyal Moretti guards. The estate was locked down under maximum security, protected by fifty armed enforcers.
The Season 1 direct conflict was completely resolved.
Adrian Cross was in federal prison, his rival family dismantled and absorbed. Celeste Moretti was facing life in a federal facility. Sofia had been forgiven and restored as Maya's primary guardian. Victor's signet ring was back on his finger, his title as Don was undisputed, and his daughter was safe, happy, and cherished.
Emotional justice had been served in full. Victor had protected his empire, crushed his enemies, and secured total dominance over New York.
Victor walked into his daughter's room, wearing a tailored dark coat, ready for his flight to Europe. He knelt beside Maya, pulling her into a warm, powerful embrace.
"Daddy has to go on a short business trip, baby," Victor said softly, kissing her cheek. "Aunt Sofia will be here with you."
Maya smiled, hugging his neck tight. "Will you bring me a present from Paris, Daddy?"
Victor smiled, his eyes softening completely. "I'm bringing home your brother."
Maya’s eyes widened with innocent wonder. "I have a brother?"
"Yes, sweetheart," Victor said, standing up. "You have a twin brother."
Victor walked out of the bedroom, stepping down the grand staircase into his private master study.

The heavy steel door swung open.
