Chapter 4
The violent scream reverberated through the vast marble foyer, reaching the upper floor corridors. Lily burst into uncontrolled, terrified sobs. Her fragile body shook violently inside the layered tulle of her princess gown. The silver tiara slipped slightly sideways on her golden curls as she instinctively took a frantic, blind step backward, her small yellow shoes skidding dangerously near the top marble step.
"DADDY! PLEASE DON'T LET HER THROW ME OUT!" Lily sobbed uncontrollably, her tiny voice echoing with a desperate, heartbreaking terror.
Suddenly, a heavy mahogany door slammed open on the second-floor landing.
Daniel appeared at the midpoint of the grand marble staircase, having just exited his study. He froze for a single microsecond, his piercing dark eyes taking in the horrifying scene below. He saw his five-year-old daughter cowering at the edge of the stairs, clutching her pink handbag, weeping in sheer agony. He saw his fiancée looming over her like a predator, her arm raised, her face twisted in venomous rage.
In an instant, the billionaire businessman ceased to exist. The fiercely protective father took over.
Daniel stormed down the grand marble staircase with terrifying speed, his heavy leather shoes striking the stone like thunder. His broad-shouldered, muscular frame radiated an overwhelming aura of physical threat. The dark tattoos covering his chest and forearms flexed as his hands clenched into massive fists.
"VICTORIA! STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!" Daniel roared with absolute rage, his deep voice shaking the crystal pendants of the chandelier above.
Victoria recoiled in violent shock. Her confident, manipulative expression instantly collapsed into a mask of pale, frozen horror as she turned to see the towering man charging toward her. The air in the foyer turned icy cold.
Daniel shoved his way between Victoria and the child, using his broad, muscular body as an impenetrable shield. His dark eyes blazed with a murderous fury as he glared down at the woman he had intended to marry.

"If you ever put your hands on my child again," Daniel growled, his voice dropping into a lethal, vibrating whisper, "I will destroy everything you and your family have ever built before the sun sets today."
Victoria stumbled backward, her high heels catching the train of her white satin gown. "Daniel... wait, you don't understand! She was... she took something!"
