Chapter 10 - The Sovereign Inheritance

Three weeks later, the Bellandi estate in New York was bathed in brilliant golden morning sunlight.
The traitors had been permanently purged, the Falcone holdings fully absorbed into the Bellandi empire, and the two territories unified forever under Victor's undisputed rule.
In the grand sunlit living room, peace and warmth had returned.
Victor sat on the plush white sofa. He had removed his tuxedo jacket, wearing a comfortable black dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up, revealing his muscular forearms and luxury watch.
Sitting on his left was eight-year-old Ellie, wearing a fresh lavender dress, happily coloring in a sketchbook. Sitting on his right was nine-year-old Leo, wearing a neat casual shirt, building a complex wooden tower on the coffee table.
Beside them sat Dr. Evelyn Vance, who had accepted the position of private estate physician and guardian, pouring warm tea for the children.
Victor reached out his broad hands, gently resting one hand on Ellie's shoulder and the other on Leo's back, pulling both his children close against his side.
"How does it feel to be home, Leo?" Victor asked gently, his deep voice filled with profound warmth.
Leo looked up at his father, a bright, radiant smile on his fair, rosy face. "It feels great, Dad. I have a sister now. And nobody can take us away."
Ellie looked up from her sketchbook, hugging her brother's arm. "We're a real family now!"
Victor let out a deep, genuine laugh—a warm, booming sound that filled the sunlit room—and pressed a soft kiss onto both their heads.
Suddenly, Marcus walked into the living room, holding a high-tech satellite phone that was chiming with a sharp, encrypted ringtone from London.
He walked up to Victor, bowing his head in deep respect. "Boss... an encrypted satellite transmission just arrived from the international syndicate council in London."
Victor stood up smoothly, taking the phone and pressing the receiver to his ear.
A smooth, heavily accented European voice spoke through the speaker:
"Don Bellandi... congratulations on securing New York and Boston, and reuniting your twin heirs. But the London council has just received news that Isabella's family vault in Geneva has been unlocked... and the European directors are demanding an immediate summit regarding the global shipping routes."
Victor’s dark blue-gray eyes narrowed into razor-sharp focus. He didn't flinch. He didn't show fear. He slowly looked at Ellie and Leo, his broad posture returning to that of an invincible, unyielding warlord guarding his family into eternity.

"Tell London," Victor said quietly, his voice sharp as steel, "that if they want to speak to the Bellandi family... they can come to New York."
He disconnected the call, set the phone down, and wrapped his broad arms around both his children as the golden morning sun illuminated their home, casting away every lingering shadow of the past, ready for whatever future lay ahead.
