Chapter 7 - The Silent Sanctuary
The Grand Plaza Hotel in downtown Manhattan was a fortress of luxury and power. High-society figures, international syndicate bosses, and corrupt politicians filled the grand ballroom on the top floor, where the Council of Nine was preparing to validate the multi-billion-dollar Bellandi trust.
At ten-thirty at night, Victor’s executive convoy arrived at the private entrance of the hotel.
Victor stepped out of the lead armored vehicle, dressed in a fresh, perfectly tailored midnight-black tuxedo, gold cufflinks gleamed at his wrists, his broad frame radiating an aura of invincible authority.
Beside him walked his two children—Ellie in a fresh pale-pink dress, and Leo in a sharp black suit—holding their father's hands.
Flanking them were Marcus and thirty heavily armed Bellandi soldiers dressed in dark suits.
They rode the private elevator up to the penthouse ballroom.
The heavy double oak doors swung open.
Victor walked into the hall. The ambient chatter of three hundred guests died instantly. Every eye turned toward the legendary Don as he entered, flanked by his twin children.
Sitting at the high council table at the head of the room were the eight remaining syndicate bosses of the Council of Nine. Standing beside them, released on temporary bail by corrupt attorneys, were Celeste Bellandi and Don Falcone.
Celeste’s eyes widened in sheer, unadulterated shock as she saw both Ellie and Leo walking beside Victor. Her fair skin turned as pale as white chalk.
"This is impossible!" Celeste stammered, backing against the council table. "Falcone... you said the boy was secured in Boston!"
Don Falcone glared at Victor, his hands trembling with rage. "Victor breached my estate... he used illegal force!"

Victor walked down the center aisle, stopping ten feet from the council table. He looked at the eight Council bosses, his voice carrying clearly across the silent hall.
"Gentlemen of the Council," Victor announced, his deep voice cold and sharp as steel. "I present the true, legitimate biological heirs of the Bellandi empire—my daughter Ellie, and my son Leo."
