Chapter 9 - the grand return

One month later, the Bellandi estate hosted a grand formal gala—not a party of lies, but a true celebration of family, honor, and restoration.
The grand ballroom was filled with flowers, soft classical music, and warm light. High-ranking international leaders, family allies, and syndicate elders gathered to pay their respects to the new lady of the house.
Clara walked down the grand marble staircase, looking breathtakingly beautiful. She wore a sweeping pale-pink silk evening gown that mirrored Rosie's dress, her soft brown hair styled in elegant waves, a simple diamond locket resting against her collarbone.
Beside her, holding her hand, was Victor, looking exceptionally handsome in a tailored navy tuxedo with gold cufflinks.
Little Rosie ran ahead of them on the marble floor, wearing a matching pink dress, laughing happily as she played with Dr. Hayes and Marcus.
Lord Dominic, the senior syndicate elder, raised his glass of champagne to the middle of the room. "A toast! To Clara Bennett Bellandi—the rightful heir, the true mother, and the new Matriarch of the Bellandi family!"
The entire room erupted into thunderous applause, raising their glasses in unanimous respect.
Victor turned to Clara, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her close to his side. "How does it feel, Lady Bellandi?"
Clara smiled warmly, leaning her head against his broad shoulder. "It feels like home, Victor."
As the evening faded into a peaceful night, Victor and Clara stood on the second-floor terrace, watching the moonlight reflect off the manicured gardens below. Rosie was fast asleep upstairs in her new bedroom, tucked under warm velvet blankets.

"Everything is complete," Clara murmured softly, sipping her glass of sweet wine. "The truth is out, the traitors are punished, and our baby is safe."
"Not quite everything," Victor said quietly, reaching into his tuxedo pocket.
