Chapter 9 - the final judgment

The following afternoon, the grand cliffside courtyard of the Vale Estate was filled with eighty loyal syndicate soldiers standing in pristine formation.
In the center of the courtyard, bound in heavy iron restraints, stood Arthur Voss and three captured lieutenants from the Vance Syndicate.
Dominic Vale stood at the top of the grand stone staircase, dressed in an immaculate ivory suit embroidered with subtle gold thread—the very suit he had worn when little Ellie first touched his leg brace. He stood tall and powerful, without his cane, his posture commanding absolute fear and respect.
Beside him stood Clare, dressed in a stunning navy silk dress, and little Ellie, who held her mother's hand proudly.
Vincent Hale stepped forward, holding a heavy leather ledger containing the full confession signed by Arthur Voss, detailing twenty years of treason, embezzlement, and attempted assassination.
Dominic looked down at Arthur Voss with icy, uncompromising detachment.
"You spent fifteen years trying to poison this family from within, Arthur," Dominic declared, his thunderous voice echoing off the stone walls and echoing down the cliffside. "You thought a leg injury made me weak. You thought a four-year-old child wouldn't notice your treachery."
Arthur looked up, his face hollow, his eyes filled with bitter defeat. "You won't survive the Vance family, Dominic... they will come for everything you hold dear!"
"The Vance family no longer exists," Dominic revealed smoothly. "As of two hours ago, our forces in Chicago liquidated their final assets. Their leaders are in federal custody, and their territory has been absorbed into the Vale domain."
Dominic gestured flatly with his hand.

"Take them to federal authorities," Dominic ordered Vincent. "Let them spend the rest of their lives in a maximum-security cell thinking about the child who destroyed their empire."
The loyal soldiers moved forward, dragging Arthur Voss and his co-conspirators out through the heavy iron gates, closing the dark chapter of treason forever.
