Chapter 11 - Lysandra Moves Out

Lysandra left Ambrose for four months.
Not divorce immediately.
She moved into an apartment hotel.
Why?
He had lied to her too.
After she found keys, she searched further.
She found one notebook.
Not secret torture journal.
Training notes.
Date.
Location.
Trigger.
Duration.
Outcome.
Examples:
Garage — barking exposure. C cried approx. 8 min. Settled at 11.
Lake — splash/startle. Refused visual contact. Crate reset approx. 22 min.
BBQ — planned if incident repeats.
Planned.
Before the barbecue.
Lysandra had found the keys but not notebook until after police search? Let's say she located notebook that evening after we left and turned it over to attorney/police. This deepened why she moved out.
She told me:
“I spent forty years thinking his need for control was a personality.”
“What is it?”
“Sometimes it is.”
Then:
“And sometimes control becomes something you do to other people.”
She cried.
“I was always the one who softened him.”
Like many spouses in these stories, but here distinct context.
If Ambrose said:
“Boy needs backbone,”
Lysandra bought Callum ice cream later.
If Ambrose criticized:
She explained he was old-fashioned.
She had mistaken compensation for prevention.
The keys finally showed limits of that strategy.
