Chapter 7 - The Message from Father
By eight o'clock that evening, the Manhattan penthouse was locked down under maximum security. Ten broad-shouldered guards stationed themselves along the halls, while Dominic’s private legal team reviewed the documents recovered from the metal canister.
Inside the master study, Olivia sat at the dark mahogany desk under the warm glow of a brass lamp. She held a special ultraviolet light tool that Professor Whitman had provided, scanning the final pages of her father's ancient journal.
As the purple light hit the blank parchment of the final page, hidden lines of luminescent golden ink began to glow brightly across the paper!
Olivia gasped softly. "Dominic! Look!"
Dominic and Professor Whitman rushed over to the desk, leaning over her shoulders.
Written across the final page in William Hart's delicate script was a hidden legal codicil and a personal message addressed directly to Olivia:
"My dearest Olivia,
The clean energy patent contained in this journal is not just scientific research. It is the legal foundation of Russo Industries. When Dominic and I founded the company twenty-five years ago, we signed a binding trust agreement.
Fifty percent of all founding stock was registered under your name on the day you were born. You are not just my daughter, Olivia... you are the rightful majority owner of Russo Industries."
Professor Whitman’s mouth fell open in total shock. "Fifty percent of the founding stock... that's worth over eight billion dollars!"
Dominic looked down at the fourteen-year-old girl, a proud, handsome smile breaking across his rugged features for the first time in years.
"Your father didn't just protect his research, Olivia," Dominic said softly, his voice thick with emotion. "He made sure you would own the world he built."

Suddenly, the security intercom on Dominic's desk buzzed sharply.
His head of security, Marcus, spoke through the speaker: "Don Dominic! We just received word from the Plaza Hotel! Marcus Russo has moved the shareholders' gala forward to tonight at nine o'clock! He is live on national television right now presenting the stolen research!"
