Chapter 9 - The Confrontation at the Plaza
Marcus Russo’s arrogant smile vanished in an instant, his face going sheet-white under the harsh television lights.
"Dominic?!" Marcus stammered into the microphone, trying to regain his composure. "Security! Remove these intruders! My brother is emotionally unstable!"
"Let him speak!" Senior Chairman Vance shouted from the front row of the board section.
Dominic walked down the central red carpet, his broad shoulders squared, his dark eyes locked onto his brother like laser beams. Beside him, Olivia walked with quiet, fearless grace, carrying the ancient leather journal in her hands.
Dominic reached the stage, stepping up to the podium beside Marcus. He didn't draw a weapon; he didn't raise his voice. He simply placed the original legal trust deeds and the glowing ultraviolet journal onto the glass stand.
"Ten years ago, Marcus Russo tried to murder William Hart to steal his clean energy patents," Dominic announced to the global television audience. "And for ten years, he lied to this board while siphoning millions from our research accounts!"
"Lie!" Marcus screamed, his voice cracking with desperation. "That girl is an orphan waitress! She has no legal standing in this company!"
Olivia stepped forward to the microphone. She didn't flinch under the blinding camera flashes. She looked directly into the news cameras with complete, unshakeable confidence.
"My name is Olivia Hart," her clear, steady voice resonated through the entire ballroom. "I am William Hart’s daughter. And I am ready to translate the master key live on air."
Olivia opened the ancient leather journal, pointing her small finger to the glowing golden symbols on the final page, reading the precise mathematical formulas and hidden legal codes in clear, fluent American English.
The large digital presentation screens behind the stage instantly lit up as the journal's master key activated the original patent database, displaying William Hart's name alongside Olivia's fifty percent ownership deed in bold, undeniable gold lettering!
Gasps of absolute shock erupted from six hundred shareholders!
Marcus backed away from the podium, his knees shaking, his corporate empire crumbling around his feet on live national television!
Four federal agents wearing dark suits stepped onto the stage, clicking heavy steel handcuffs around Marcus Russo’s wrists!
