Chapter 9 - the tribunal of sound
At 11:30 PM, the grand marble vault beneath First National Bank on Fifth Avenue was silent and cold. Heavy steel deposit boxes lined the granite walls under bright fluorescent lights.
Standing in front of Master Vault 01 was Victor Turner—a ruthless, sixty-five-year-old mob boss dressed in a expensive pinstriped suit, holding a silver walking cane. Flanked by four armed guards, Victor was attempting to force open the lock using a portable laser drill.
"Hurry up!" Victor barked to his technician. "Before Vincent's men realize we're in the city!"
"You're too late, Victor," a deep, thunderous voice echoed from the vault entrance.
Victor spun around in absolute horror.
Vincent Turner stepped into the vault chamber, dressed in his charcoal-gray suit, his broad frame dominating the room. Flanked by twelve armed Moretti enforcers and federal agents, Vincent moved with calm, terrifying authority.
Beside him walked Emily, holding eight-year-old Lily's hand.
"Vincent?!" Victor stammered, backing against the steel vault door, his silver cane shaking in his hand. "How... how did you find me?!"
"I heard your private jet flight plan forty-five minutes ago, uncle," Vincent said, his deep voice carrying a lethal, icy weight. "Just like I heard every lie you told about my father for thirty-seven years."
Federal agents stepped forward, weapons drawn, surrounding Victor's guards.
"Victor Turner," the lead federal agent announced, "you are under arrest for grand conspiracy, attempted murder, child endangerment, and federal wire fraud!"
Victor's eyes went wide with pure, unadulterated terror as heavy steel handcuffs were clicked around his wrists. He looked at Vincent with bitter, broken hatred as he was dragged away into the dark corridor forever.

Vincent turned to Vault 01. Using the master key recovered from Dr. Vance's office, he unlocked the heavy steel door.
Inside lay the original, unredacted Turner family trust deeds, granting Vincent complete, absolute ownership of the multi-billion-dollar global empire.
