Chapter 13 - The coach called police

Brent called 911.
Probably believing that hurt me.
Good.
Police arrived.
Video reviewed.
Witnesses interviewed.
I told them:
“He swung first.”
Dustin said:
“He threatened me.”
Camera had no useful audio in that section.
But multiple fighters confirmed I had been leaving.
Cody told officers:
“Dustin shoved him and then threw.”
Another fighter:
“Miller just put him down.”
No charge against me.
The detective later said:
“For a man with your background, restraint helped.”
I answered:
“For any man, restraint should help.”
That was not wisdom.
It was relief.
Because I had imagined hurting Dustin from the moment I saw Hannah in the hospital.

Imagining is not doing.
