Chapter 10

One year later, the brilliant autumn sunshine returned to the Marchetti estate, painting the surrounding cedar and oak trees in magnificent hues of gold, amber, and crimson.
The grand courtyard was filled with warmth, music, and joyful laughter. Beautiful arrangements of white and blue roses decorated the stone fountains, while soft classical music drifted from the open French doors of the main living room.
Standing near the edge of the courtyard terrace, looking majestic and imposing in a bespoke black luxury suit, white dress shirt, and his silver wristwatch, was Dominick Marchetti. His dark brown hair was neatly styled, his sharp jawline smooth, his piercing dark eyes glowing with absolute, unshakeable happiness.
Standing beside him, wearing an exquisite cream silk gown, was Elina. Her soft golden-brown hair was styled in an elegant updo, a delicate diamond ring sparkling on her finger as she rested her hand comfortably inside Dominick's arm.
And playing freely across the polished marble courtyard in front of them was four-year-old Sophia.
She wore a beautiful pale-blue floral princess dress with puffed ruffled sleeves, white frilly socks, and cream Mary Jane shoes, a large white satin bow tied neatly in her golden-blonde hair. She was happily pushing a small wooden toy carriage, her worn cream plush bunny riding comfortably inside.
"Daddy! Look!" Sophia cheered happily, running across the marble tiles on her small shoes and throwing her tiny body into Dominick's broad legs.
Dominick dropped down onto one knee, scooping his daughter into his massive, muscular arms, lifting her high into the warm, golden sky as she squealed with pure, radiant joy.
He brought her down softly against his broad chest, holding Elina close against his side with his free arm.
"Is the secret garden safe forever, Daddy?" Sophia asked in her sweet, innocent little voice, clutching her plush bunny against his suit.
Dominick looked down into her big blue eyes, then turned his gaze to Elina, pulling both of them close against his broad chest. The cold, feared Mafia boss who had carried thirty-one years of hidden grief had finally found his true purpose—not in power or territory, but in protecting the family that had set his soul free.

"Yes, my sweet little angel," Dominick whispered softly, his deep baritone carrying an everlasting, unbreakable promise. "Our garden is safe forever."
Outside the grand estate, the golden afternoon sun settled over the city, casting a warm, brilliant light across the courtyard. The dark shadows of fear, lies, and ancient betrayal were gone forever, replaced by an invincible empire of love, security, and a family united under the shining sky for eternity.
