Victoria’s lawyers did not deny all the video.
Impossible.
They attacked meaning.
Steam:
She claimed she believed warm humid air could soothe congestion.
Why an iron inches from the crib?
No good answer.
Bottle exchanges:
She claimed Sarah prepared formula inconsistently and Victoria brought an alternative after consulting online feeding advice.
Why hide it?
Because Sarah:
“treated feeding as her private territory.”
Why cover the camera?
Privacy.
Why delete footage?
She said she feared Sarah would weaponize ordinary caregiving mistakes against her.
Why press Leo’s hand until he cried?
She claimed she was testing whether he responded normally because he had seemed unusually sleepy.
Medical expert response:
There are appropriate ways to assess an infant.
Pain is not one.
Why change logs?
She said she corrected what she believed Sarah had recorded inaccurately.
Then the phone call.
Her lawyers initially suggested audio distortion could make the language unreliable.
Forensic audio experts confirmed the words.
Not necessarily speaker identity.
But the sentence was real.
Victoria herself:
“And what if he refuses?”
No dispute.
She later said the conversation concerned:
“getting Ethan to acknowledge the seriousness of Leo’s medical needs.”
No.
The male voice said:
he’ll sign anything.
“Sign what?”
She refused to answer on advice of counsel.
That was her right.
Publicly people became furious.
I did not make public statements beyond:
Leo is safe. We are cooperating with authorities. We will not discuss evidence involving a minor.
No leaked nursery video.
No revenge press conference.
I wanted to show everyone.
Look.
Look what she did.
Then remembered:
Leo is naked or half-dressed in some clips.
Crying.
Vulnerable.
His worst moments did not become evidence the public was entitled to consume.
The recordings remained sealed as much as law allowed.
