Chapter 6 - the breach at lake shore
Before Dante could leave the room, the emergency alarm lights across the entire estate began to flash red!
The low hum of the backup generator kicked in as the main power grid was cut from the outside!
"Perimeter breach!" Dante growled, drawing his sidearm. "West garden gate! Three armored vans!"
"Vance knows we caught Bruno," Dominic realized coldly. "He's sending a strike team to erase the evidence before dawn."
Dominic turned to Clara, gently pushing her toward the hidden steel panic room behind the wardrobe. "Get inside with Leo, Clara. Lock the door from the inside."
"Dominic... please be careful," Clara begged, holding Baby Leo close against her chest.
"No one touches my family under this roof, Clara," Dominic promised, his deep voice solid as granite.
The heavy steel panic room door locked with a sharp click.
Outside in the second-floor corridor, automatic gunfire erupted as twelve heavily armed mercenaries in dark tactical gear breached the grand staircase!
Dominic and Dante moved like twin gods of war. Guided by their acute knowledge of the estate, they cleared the hallway with lethal, precise efficiency. Dominic moved with crushing broad strength, disarming the lead strike officer and clearing the landing within five minutes flat.
Down in the grand foyer, Dante pinned the mercenary commander against the marble pillar.

"Who authorized the strike?!" Dante roared.
"Vance... Vance is at the Grand Regency Hotel!" the commander choked out in terror. "He's calling an emergency council meeting to claim the docks while you're under attack!"
