Chapter 10

The morning sun broke over the Colorado mountains, casting a brilliant, warm golden light across the fresh blanket of snow. The storm had completely cleared, leaving behind a crisp, crystal-blue sky that illuminated the sprawling Bellacorte lodge in vibrant, cinematic color.
Inside the grand entrance hall, the shattered glass and unraveled wrapping paper had been completely cleared away. The massive stone fireplace roared with a fresh stack of pine logs, sending a cozy warmth through the high-ceilinged room.
Richard Bellacorte stood near the tall glass windows overlooking the valley. He wore a clean, dark three-piece suit, his signet ring catching the bright morning light, his posture powerful, masculine, and restored.
Sitting on the soft Persian rug near the hearth was little Noah. He was dressed in a new woolen sweater and small leather boots, his fair cheeks rosy and glowing with health. In his hands, he held his handmade wooden airplane, happily spinning its small wooden propeller.
Sitting beside him on the rug was Sarah. She was wearing a warm cream sweater, her dark hair brushed smoothly, her eyes filled with tears of joy as she watched her son play. She reached out, gently stroking Noah's hair.
"Look, Mommy," Noah giggled softly, holding the toy up toward her. "Grandpa saved my plane."
Sarah looked up at Richard, her face filled with profound gratitude. "Thank you, Richard. For everything."
Richard walked over, kneeling down on the rug beside them despite his tall frame. He reached out and gently patted Noah's head, a rare, warm smile softening his rugged face.
"He's a Bellacorte, Sarah," Richard said softly. "He has his father's eyes. Nobody in this world will ever harm him again."
Frank stepped into the entrance hall, holding a secure satellite phone. He stopped a respectful distance away, waiting for Richard to stand up.
Richard stood, buttoning his suit jacket, and walked over to his lead bodyguard. "Is it done?"
"Yes, Boss," Frank reported quietly. "The Denver tribunal met at sunrise. Mark and Claudia have been stripped of all legal standing and exiled permanently from the state. The Morelli family has officially withdrawn their claims after seeing the signed trust document. Your territory is completely secure."
Richard nodded slowly, taking the satellite phone from Frank's hand. "And the trust?"
"The bank in Denver has processed Eleanor's directive," Frank said. "Noah is now the official legal owner of the timber operations and the main estate. You have been appointed as his sole legal guardian until he comes of age."
Richard looked back at his grandson, who was laughing as Sarah gave him a warm hug by the blazing fire. The long, dark secret that had threatened to tear his family apart was finally dragged into the light and resolved. The empire was safe, and his son's bloodline was restored.
As Richard held the phone, a new chime echoed from the encrypted line. He looked down at the screen.
It was a private notification from his intelligence network in Chicago—a high-priority alert regarding a secondary offshore bank account that had just been activated in Dominic’s name three hours ago from an unknown location in Europe.

Richard’s dark eyes narrowed slightly as he read the text message accompanying the transfer: The trust is only the first piece. Protect the boy.
Richard slowly slipped the phone back into his pocket. He looked out the window at the vast, sunlit snowfields stretching across the mountain valley. The past was settled, and his grandson was safe in his arms. But as the veteran mafia boss stood on the threshold of a new era, he knew that the true story of the Bellacorte legacy was far from over.
