Chapter 9 - The European Horizon

The high-altitude clouds drifted past the window of the private Gulfstream jet as it soared over the Atlantic Ocean toward London.

Inside the luxurious leather cabin, soft golden lights illuminated the wood-grained interior.

Rachel sat on a plush sofa, reading a book while Emma slept peacefully beside her under a heavy cashmere blanket, her small hand clutching Mr. Buttons.

Vincent sat across from them, reviewing tactical maps of the London financial district on an encrypted tablet. He wore his black suit, his dark wavy hair neatly styled, his piercing blue eyes sharp and focused.

Marco stepped into the cabin from the cockpit, holding two cups of fresh espresso. He handed one to Vincent and sat down across the aisle.

"Our advance team in London has secured the private penthouse in Mayfair, Boss," Marco reported softly. "Sir Arthur Sterling’s representatives are waiting for our arrival at the Sovereign Trust headquarters tomorrow morning."

Vincent took a slow sip of his espresso, his gaze drifting to little Emma sleeping on the sofa.

"Sir Arthur Sterling was my father's business partner forty years ago, Marco," Vincent revealed quietly. "He knows the secret behind my sister's locket."

"Do you think Sterling was involved in Clara's disappearance?" Marco asked, his brow furrowing.

"We will find out tomorrow," Vincent said, his voice dropping into a low, terrifying pitch. "If anyone in London tries to touch my grandniece's inheritance, I will burn their empire to the ground."
