The spare inhaler in Gemma’s apron was not secret medication.
Lucy’s pediatric practice had issued two rescue inhalers.
One stayed in Lucy’s pouch.
One stayed in the approved household backup kit.
After the first interference incident, the pediatric nurse added a written instruction:
When Lucy is under direct supervision at a family event, designated staff may carry the backup inhaler to ensure immediate access.
Designated staff included:
Nanny.
Household nurse when present.
Gemma Hayes during meal-service assignments involving Lucy.
Ophelia received the updated care plan.
Signed receipt.
