Chapter 26 - Bianca eventually sees the pool again

Not our pool.
A neutral family-court mediation center did not have one.
Good.
Years later, after supervision requirements ended, Bianca requested permission to send Emmie an apology through counsel.
Emmie was eleven.
Old enough to choose.
I asked:
“Want to read it?”
“No.”
“Okay.”
Two months later:
“Maybe.”
We read it with therapist.
Bianca wrote plainly:
I hit you because I was angry at adults and money, and I chose to take that anger out on you. You did nothing to cause it.
Emmie read that twice.
Then:
“She knows now?”
“Seems like it.”
“Does that mean I see her?”
“No.”
“Good.”
May you like
That was her decision.
No forced reconciliation.
