Police found a small camera on a shelf facing the kitchen.
Not hidden well.
Gary said it was for home security.

The camera’s local recording began eleven minutes before Ethan was hit.
It had not been recording continuously before that.
Gary activated it manually from his phone.
Its angle captured:
The kitchen table.
My entrance.
My confrontation.
My kick.
But not the section beside the counter where most of the belt strikes occurred.
Convenient.
Gary’s plan became clearer.
He wanted visual evidence of:
Me attacking him.
Not what caused it.
Unfortunately for him, the camera captured audio.
Ethan screaming.
