Chapter 19 - The trust review

Samuel convened an independent meeting regarding Dad’s trust.

Not to hand me power early.

Not to punish Mom.

To remove ambiguity.

The corporate trustee explained everything to me directly.

Assets.

Voting rights.

Restrictions.

My rights at eighteen.

Ethan’s protections.

I learned Gary had exaggerated how much control I would receive.

At eighteen, I would gain influence.

Not absolute authority.

I could not:

Empty Ethan’s trust.

Sell the company alone.

Fire executives.

Buy a yacht with trust money.

Samuel said:

“You’ve been treated like your birthday is a corporate coup.”

May you like

I almost laughed.

That was exactly how it felt.
