Chapter 15 - Alessandra’s injuries
I finally learned what happened at the marina.
Her SUV was forced into a barrier near the warehouse.
Fire started after impact.
She escaped through a damaged rear door.
A passing maintenance worker saw smoke.
Called emergency services.
Alessandra was transported under an initial unknown identity because her documents were destroyed and she was semi-conscious.
Federal agents already watching the area connected her later.
Injuries:
Burns.
Broken ribs.
Shoulder fracture.
Concussion.
Smoke inhalation.
No miraculous walk-away.
Recovery took months.
Pregnancy survived.
Clara was delivered prematurely but healthy enough to avoid long-term complications.
Alessandra’s disappearance was not one elegant spy operation.
