Chapter 15 - The Blue Suitcase Goes Away

Police held the suitcase temporarily.
Photographed.
Measured.
Then released.
Evidence preserved digitally.
I did not bring it home.
Celeste’s attorney requested her property.
Fine.
She could have suitcase.
Why?
Ivy did not need the object in our house.
I nearly asked police to destroy it.
Not my property.
No.
Celeste collected it through counsel.
Months later I learned she threw it away.
No symbolism required.
Ivy asked:
“Where black box?”
“Gone.”
“Celeste?”
“Not here.”
“Suitcase?”
“Not here.”
Then:
“Can suitcase hurt?”
“No.”
“Celeste did.”
“Yes.”
Important.
Objects do not become evil.
Later therapy would use toy luggage carefully.
Not immediately.
Ivy needed to learn:
Suitcase is something you pack.
Not something adults close around you.
May you like
That took time.
