Chapter 8 - Vivienne had found fake credential packages

Four months before her disappearance, Vivienne began reviewing licensing files for three Graves hotels.
She found consultants billing us for:
Expedited permit work.
Safety inspections.
Accessibility certification.
Vendor-clearance packages.
Some were legitimate.
Some were strangely repetitive.
Then she found vendor credentials attached to alcohol and security contractors that did not match state records.
Names valid.
License numbers valid.
But assigned to different companies.
One local security vendor appeared certified under another firm’s credentials.
One subcontractor used an expired liquor-service training record copied into multiple files.
Why?
To keep events operating without delays.
Cross Meridian had developed what employees called:
“continuity packets.”
If a contractor’s licensing was delayed, the packet allowed the event team to proceed while paperwork “caught up.”
That was not just sloppy.
It could be illegal.
It could create insurance problems.
It could expose guests.
Vivienne ordered:
Stop using them.
May you like
Delphine objected.
Hard.
