Two months after Elena’s release, final restitution accounting closed.
She had paid a substantial portion through asset liquidation.
Remaining scheduled under probation.
Northbridge trust restored through:
Elena payments.
Trustee settlement.
Recovered brokerage funds.
Total net unrecovered loss after fees and offsets:
Small relative to original loss and covered by settlement reserves.
No mystery balance.
No hidden second account.
Then Martin Shaw.
Prosecutors had charged him with a minor document-assistance offense after cooperation established he knowingly helped alter one invoice but did not understand full trust scheme.
He pleaded misdemeanor.
Fine.
Probation.
No jail.
Again:
Not everyone was equally guilty.
Then Sophie.
Would Elena see her?
I asked.
Sophie said:
“Not yet.”
Elena respected it.
That mattered.
No motion.
No family pressure.
