Chapter 24 - Michael’s Plea

The case did not end with a television trial.
After extensive litigation, Michael entered a negotiated plea to serious charges supported by the strongest evidence.
He acknowledged administering medication outside appropriate coordinated care.
He acknowledged failing to disclose it.
He acknowledged that he did so before professional interviews and appointments relevant to the custody dispute.
His lawyers disputed some interpretations of motive.
The agreement did not require everyone to share one psychological explanation.
He received criminal consequences including incarceration followed by supervision, along with separate professional sanctions.
