Chapter 11 - I freeze only what I can freeze

My lawyer, Mara Ellison, corrected my first instinct.

“Freeze everything.”

“No.”

I stared.

“Why not?”

“Because you do not own everything.”

Fair.

We revoked:

Wesley’s transfer authority over my individually titled accounts.

Standing household treasury permissions.

Bank access tokens tied to my accounts.

Then we sought temporary court orders in the divorce case preventing both spouses from:

Extraordinary asset transfers.

New borrowing against joint investments.

Dissipation of marital property.

The court did not freeze Kane Urban Development entirely.

Employees worked there.

Creditors existed.

Projects existed.

Wesley could still pay:

Payroll.

Taxes.

Ordinary vendors.

Court required notice and approval for extraordinary insider transactions.

Narrow.

Then my Renaldi shares.

Untouched.

Separate ownership already documented.

No emergency ruling needed to “give them back.”

They had never left me.
