After release, contact did not jump instantly to weekends.
He had already participated in supervised visits during lawful periods where possible.
After custody evaluation and therapy, visits gradually expanded.
First:
Professional supervision.
Then therapeutic setting.
Then community visits.
Caius decided whether physical affection happened.
At one visit Aloysius crouched.
“Can I hug you?”
Caius said:
“No.”
Aloysius nodded.
“Okay.”
That was probably harder for him than prison.
Later, Caius handed him the stuffed dinosaur.
“Hold.”
Aloysius held it.
