Chapter 13 - The baby shower guests

The guests became witnesses.
Not all supported me perfectly.
One aunt said:
“Clarissa was being cruel, but Morwenna had been arguing with her all afternoon.”
True.
I had.
Another said:
“The chair pull looked intentional.”
Another:
“I thought she was moving it as a joke until Morwenna fell.”
One family friend said:
“Dorian looked shocked when she fell.”
Interesting.
Could he have known Clarissa planned that specific act?
No evidence.
He stood beside her afterward.
That was morally ugly.
But we did not invent preplanning.
Then one guest remembered Clarissa saying earlier:
“Soon the nursery will be where it belongs.”
At the time, the guest assumed she meant:
Finished.
Now it meant something else.

Evidence rarely changes because the past changes.
Context changes.
