Chapter 25 - Clarissa rewrites her will

Clarissa finally did what she had threatened.

She changed her will.

Dorian learned through her attorney because she removed him as executor.

Did she disinherit him entirely?

No.

She reduced his expected share substantially.

Most remaining estate designated to:

Charities.

A niece.

A university program.

Dorian said:

“I thought I’d be angrier.”

“Are you?”

“Yes.”

“Do you regret pleading guilty?”

“No.”

That answer mattered.

Then:

“I spent my whole life thinking she owned my future.”

I said:

“She owned her money.”

He nodded.

“Not the same thing.”
