He asked during therapy.
“Why Daddy pick Grandma?”
Stellan was present.
He went pale.
Therapist said:
“Let Dad answer.”

“I thought Grandma knew more than I did.”
“Why?”
“She raised me.”
Benson frowned.
“But you’re grown.”
I almost laughed.
Stellan did not.

“I also let Grandma help with money, and I felt like I had to listen to her.”
Benson asked:
“Money makes rules?”
“No.”

“Then why?”

“Because I got confused about that.”
