I called Julian.
He answered immediately.
“I’m so sorry.”
“Did you approve a magazine family shoot?”
“What magazine shoot?”
Good.
Olivia came onto the call.
Sabine had apparently already told them.
Olivia sounded furious.
“We approved two exterior shots after dinner. Building only.”
“Not family?”
“No.”
“Did you know my mother canceled the ramp?”
“No.”
“Did you want Bram off the terrace?”
“Absolutely not.”
Julian said:
“I told the planner Bram needed a clear route everywhere we could make one.”
That aligned with the original documents.
My mother had overridden them.
Why could she?
Because Hartwell House belonged to a family hospitality company and Cordelia remained senior brand consultant.
She did not own the wedding.
But staff deferred to her.
That was the first governance problem.
An event planner working for the couple had made one decision.
A powerful family member connected to the venue changed it.
Nobody stopped her because:
Mrs. Hartwell always handles family presentation.
