Chapter 5 - The Utility Bottle
Police found the container exactly where Lily described.
Wrapped beneath cleaning cloths inside the lower cabinet.
It belonged in the house.
That mattered.
No exotic chemical purchased from some hidden supplier.
No secret laboratory.
A concentrated cleaning product used by staff for specific household maintenance.
Its presence was normal.
Its alleged presence in my tea was not.
My house manager explained that staff were trained to store it in a separate utility cabinet.
Not beneath the kitchen sink.
Why had it moved?
Access logs and housekeeping schedules later narrowed the timing.
Nora had been alone in the kitchen for eleven minutes.
Lily entered near the end.
Then Nora carried the tea into the dining room.
The camera inside the kitchen did not show the sink cabinet directly.

Privacy-conscious design.
Convenient for whoever used that blind angle.
