Chapter 25 - Noah’s USB

Police eventually returned the black USB after forensic copies were preserved and the device was no longer needed.
Claire held it.
“What do we do with this?”
Noah was four by then.
He saw it.
“My thing.”
Claire crouched.
“You carried this to Grandpa, remember?”
He nodded vaguely.
His memory had already softened.
Good.
“Want it?”
He took it.
Then asked:
“Videos?”
“No.”
The drive had been wiped after evidence preservation.
Noah used it later as cargo in a toy dump truck.
