Two weeks after the gate incident, my attorney obtained something through the family-court case Daniel eventually filed.
A video.

Six weeks before I found Olivia behind the gate.
Olivia was sitting on the kitchen floor crying.
Mara filmed from several feet away.
Mara’s voice:
“Why are you upset?”
Olivia:
“Grandpa.”
“Do you want Grandpa?”
“Yes.”
“Do you get sad when Grandpa leaves?”
“Yes.”
Olivia was two years and eleven months old.
Then another clip.
Olivia throwing a stuffed rabbit.
Mara:
“You’re angry because Grandpa isn’t here?”
Olivia:
“Yes.”
Another.
Olivia screaming by the front window after my car drove away.
Taken together?
They looked concerning.
A child intensely distressed around separation.
