Chapter 7 - We did not accuse Octavia immediately

The easy thing would have been to confront her.
We did not.
A forged-looking document is not proof of who forged it.
Maybe:
Old draft.
Clerical error.
Electronic assembly mistake.
Misfiled family-office note.
Victor’s memory could theoretically be wrong.
So Naomi hired an independent document examiner.
We preserved:
Original electronic files.
Metadata.
Board portals.
Email archives.
Signature versions.
Access logs.
No family tech guy “cleaning” anything.
No threats.
Evidence first.
The examiner found:
Victor’s signature image had been lifted from a 2019 equipment-financing consent.
Pixel artifacts matched.
The succession memorandum was created nearly two years after the date printed on it.
So:
Not genuine.

Then came the question:
Who created it?
