Chapter 25 - Lenora asks to meet Kerensa
Lenora completed probation requirements without violations.
Her criminal case closed after sentence completion.
No contact order expired.
She requested one meeting.
Kerensa agreed.
Neutral mediator’s office.
I did not attend.
Afterward Kerensa told me only what she wanted to.
Lenora said:
“I thought you were taking Hadrian away.”
Kerensa:
“He was thirty-nine.”
“I know.”
“You talked about him like a child.”
“I know.”
Then:
“Why did you say only the baby stays?”
Lenora answered:
“Because I thought if the baby stayed connected to us, Hadrian would too.”
There.
No custody petition.
No legal scheme.
Emotional hostage logic.
Kerensa said:
“You were willing to separate a newborn from her mother because you were afraid of losing influence over a grown man.”
Lenora cried.
Kerensa did not comfort her.
Then Lenora asked:
“Can I meet Elodie?”
Kerensa answered:
“Not yet.”
