Chapter 13 - The Therapist Who Wouldn’t Sign

Pippa had seen a grief therapist after Jenna died.
Dr. Laura Kim.
Visits had decreased as Pippa adjusted.
Camilla contacted her again.
She described severe aggression.
Dr. Kim scheduled sessions.
Pippa behaved like a grieving five-year-old with some oppositional behavior.
Not a child obviously requiring residential care.
Dr. Kim wrote:
Current presentation does not support residential placement based on information available.
Camilla did not include that note in the Ridgehaven packet.
Instead she switched therapists.
Not illegal.
Parents change providers.
But I did not know.
The new counselor, seeing only Camilla’s history, documented:
Caregiver reports escalating behaviors resistant to outpatient strategies.
Caregiver reports.

Not independently observed.
Those three words became important later.
