Chapter 16 - Clarissa knew more than she admitted

Investigators recovered messages from Clarissa’s devices under lawful process.
After Julian’s death, she had written to Ronan:
The Seraphina problem died with Julian. Keep it that way.
Ronan replied:
You know nothing useful.
Clarissa:
Useful enough to destroy everyone.
That message changed her exposure.
Not because knowing about an old crime automatically made her guilty.
But later she threatened a former Northstar employee who considered speaking to investigators.
Message:
You have a family. Enjoy them instead of reopening graves.
Was that criminal witness intimidation?
Prosecutors believed so.
Her federal problems grew.
