Chapter 20 - Ronan goes to trial

Ronan refused the main homicide-related plea offer.
Trial lasted five weeks.
Prosecution theory:
He authorized an illegal coercive operation knowing serious violence was foreseeable.
Defense:
He authorized only information recovery and intimidation, not homicide.
The jury returned mixed verdicts.
Guilty:
Conspiracy to commit violent coercion.
Obstruction.
Financial crimes tied to the Mirror Inventory.
Not guilty:
The highest intentional-murder count.
Jurors were not convinced beyond reasonable doubt Ronan ordered Seraphina’s death specifically.
The Northstar shooter was separately convicted of murder-related offenses.
