Chapter 19 - The Key to St. Jude’s

"Haven Crest," Sebastian whispered, the horror hitting him with the force of an avalanche.
He didn't wait. Without a second thought, Sebastian struck Julian with the butt of his weapon, knocking the traitor unconscious, and barked into his satellite comms: "Haven Crest Command! Report! Haven Crest, this is Sebastian Moretti, respond!"
Static hissed through the receiver.
Then, a faint, garbled transmission cut through: *"Don Moretti... we’re under heavy assault... the perimeter security grid was bypassed from the inside... they took Leo... they're after the nursery—"*
The line went dead with a deafening screech of electronic feedback.
"No!" Claire screamed, tears spilling over her cheeks. "Leo! Baby Miller!"
"To the chopper! NOW!" Sebastian bellowed, gripping Claire’s hand with crushing intensity as they sprinted through the burning wreckage of the clinic.
Within minutes, the helicopter was airborne again, roaring at maximum velocity through the stormy night toward Haven Crest. The flight was an agonizing eternity. Claire sat with her hands clasped in prayer, watching Sebastian pace the narrow cabin like a caged predator whose territory had been invaded. His aura was terrifying—an absolute manifestation of wrath.
"They will not touch them," Sebastian swore, his voice trembling with a terrifying blend of rage and anguish. "If a single hair on either of my boys is harmed, I will burn this entire hemisphere to ash."
Claire reached out, grabbing his trembling hands. "Sebastian, look at me. Julian said the security grid was bypassed from the inside. Whoever is doing this isn't just an enemy. It's someone in your inner circle. Someone you trusted."
Sebastian looked down at her, the realization sinking into his soul like venom.
Twenty minutes later, Haven Crest came into view.

The outer gates hung off their hinges. Guard vehicles burned in the grand driveway. The estate's grand windows were shattered, and rain poured through the broken roofs into the palatial hallways.
The helicopter had barely touched the lawn before Sebastian leaped out into the storm, weapon drawn, with Claire running close behind him under Dante’s cover.
