Chapter 8 - The dinner
The twelve guests were not ordinary dinner guests.
Nine were potential investors.
Two were current Crescent Harbor investors.
One was the project sponsor, Nathan Cole.
Evelyn had invited them to my home without telling me.
Why my house?
Because my house itself functioned as credibility.
If investors attended dinner at Alex Vance’s home while Alex Vance’s mother described a project as:
“family backed,”
people would infer things.
They might never ask for a guarantee.
May you like
But apparently some had.
That was when paperwork appeared.
