Chapter 9 - Maya found the packet
Maya discovered a folder on the dining table before guests arrived.
Inside:
Project overview.
Capital stack.
Investor subscription documents.
A one-page document titled:
Vance Support Undertaking
It stated that, subject to certain conditions, an entity affiliated with me intended to support specified cost overruns up to:
$12 million.
At the bottom:
My typed name.
Then an electronic signature image.
Maya knew immediately.
I signed important guarantees using a secured digital process.
Not a pasted image.
She called Evelyn into kitchen.
“Alex didn’t sign this.”
Evelyn said:
“It’s preliminary.”
“Then why is it in investor packets?”
