Chapter 21 - Robert’s plea

After months of motions and expert analysis, Robert took a plea.
He pleaded guilty to:
Involuntary manslaughter based on reckless safety conduct under the negotiated theory.
Evidence tampering.
One false-statement count.
He admitted:
He knew the heating system had unresolved safety concerns.
He failed to obtain required professional clearance.
He removed or interfered with warning documentation.
He represented the home as safe.
After Amanda’s hospitalization, he removed the ring she had preserved and made misleading statements about where it was found.
He did not admit:
Wanting her dead.
Planning an exposure.
May you like
Intentionally generating carbon monoxide.
The evidence did not support those claims.
