Chapter 10 - Dad’s Arrest
Police did not arrest everybody because a video existed.
They reviewed evidence.
Took statements.
Documented injuries.
Dad was arrested in connection with the assault against me and Tyler.
Mom in connection with striking Megan.
Natalie initially left without an assault charge because she had not physically touched anyone.
The mortgage matter became separate.
The recording preserved admissions relevant to intent.
Lucas gave a full statement.
He did not become family hero.
He had followed my request.
Then called 911 as soon as Dad attacked me.
That was why officers arrived quickly.
He later told me:
“I almost stopped recording.”
“Why?”
“Because filming while Tyler got kicked felt disgusting.”
“You called police.”
“Yes.”
“You did what I asked.”
He looked sick.
