Chapter 24 - Lucas Deletes the Recording

The original recording remained evidence for years.
Copies existed where they legally needed to.
Lucas kept one on his phone longer than necessary.
One day he asked:
“Do you want it?”
“No.”
“Sure?”
“I never want to watch it.”
He nodded.
Then deleted his personal copy after confirming counsel and law enforcement no longer needed anything from his device.
He looked relieved.
“So am I allowed to stop being the guy who recorded Easter?”
“It wasn’t Easter.”
“Right. Sunday dinner.”
“Much more festive.”
He laughed.
Then said:
“I still hate that I stood there.”
“You called 911.”
“I watched Tyler get kicked.”
“You didn’t know Dad was going to do that.”
“I know.”
