Chapter 67

Three days later, at a covert, heavily bribed dock in southern Spain, a pitch-black stealth mini-submarine slipped silently beneath the crashing waves, descending into the crushing depths of the ocean. Inside the cramped, claustrophobic cabin, Dante, Matteo, and six of the most elite, battle-hardened Alpha operators sat in absolute darkness. All active sonar, communications, and navigation systems were entirely powered down to evade the Consortium's highly sensitive detection grid. They navigated purely by passive acoustics and raw, terrifying instinct. The immense, crushing water pressure groaned violently against the reinforced titanium hull, but Dante’s expression remained as solid and unmoving as granite.

After six agonizing hours of sensory deprivation, the submarine successfully bypassed the underwater sensors and breached the surface inside a damp, echoing sea cave situated directly beneath the island’s towering, jagged cliffs. Dante equipped his ceramic body armor and draped his signature charcoal overcoat over his broad shoulders. Using pneumatic tactical grappling hooks, the team scaled the sheer, wet rock face while the howling ocean wind masked their ascent.

Reaching the summit, a massive, brutalist concrete complex materialized through the dense, freezing sea fog. Dante deployed advanced thermal optics, identifying heavily armed sentries patrolling the perimeter with assault rifles. Moving like lethal phantoms, the Alpha team neutralized the outer guards using silent, fatal hand-to-hand combat, leaving absolutely no trace of their infiltration. They successfully breached the subterranean service corridors. However, as they bypassed a heavy steel security door, a blaring, blood-red alarm suddenly triggered. Deafening sirens ruptured the quiet night.

"We’re made!" Matteo yelled, racking the bolt of his submachine gun as dozens of Consortium mercenaries flooded the concrete hallway, unleashing a devastating storm of automatic fire.

"Lay down heavy cover fire! Push straight to the central detention block!" Dante roared, drawing his custom sidearm and diving straight into the relentless barrage of armor-piercing bullets.
