Chapter 15 - The criminal case involving Anouk

Seraphina’s treatment of my daughter produced the clearest criminal exposure.
Investigators had:
Anouk’s statement.
Physical space.
Blanket.
Food containers.
Housekeeper testimony.
School attendance records.
Recorder clips.
Text messages.
Security entry logs.
No evidence of severe physical abuse.
No starvation.
No prolonged deprivation of bathroom access.
But intentional locked confinement was still serious.
Prosecutors charged:
Child endangerment.
Unlawful restraint involving a minor.
A misdemeanor harassment/battery offense for forcefully grabbing Anouk.
Not kidnapping.
Seraphina had not transported her.

Not torture.
No need for sensational labels when ordinary statutes already described harm.
