Chapter 22 - The civil media dispute

The production company demanded return of part of Seraphina’s option payment.
Its position:
She breached warranties.
Misrepresented access.
Failed to deliver lawfully clearable materials.
Seraphina argued:
She had provided real development work.
Some material was hers to discuss.
Both sides had points.
They settled.
She returned:
$120,000.
The company retained rights only to material it independently owned or could lawfully develop without her restricted documents.
Then it shelved the entire Rourke project.
Not because I threatened anyone.
Because litigation risk outweighed value.
